🌟 What You Will Accomplish in the Mentorship Pathway

By participating in the Leadership Odyssey Mentorship Pathway, you’ll take part in a hands-on leadership experience designed to build your skills, strengthen your confidence, connect you with others, and give you opportunities to put what you learn into action.

Throughout the pathway, you’ll build toward a major collaborative project in April—the L.E.A.D. Summit, a FREE leadership conference for college students.

✅ 1. Build Real Leadership Skills

Engage in training, activities, and hands-on experiences that strengthen skills you can use in college, your career, and your community.

You’ll develop skills in areas such as:

Communication and active listening
Collaboration and teamwork
Problem-solving and decision-making
Emotional intelligence and self-awareness
Peer support and mentorship
Leadership and professional development

The goal is not simply to learn about leadership, but to practice it.

🎓 2. Earn Recognition for Your Achievements

As part of the Mentorship Pathway, you will complete two key leadership development experiences:

🤝 Certified Peer Educator (CPE) Training
Complete the Certified Peer Educator Training and develop practical skills in peer support, communication, active listening, ethical decision-making, responding and referring, teamwork, and leadership.

🌟 Authentic Leadership Session
Explore what it means to lead authentically by developing greater self-awareness, understanding your values and strengths, and considering how you can lead with purpose in your relationships, college experience, career, and community.

🏅 Earn Microcredentials

Upon successfully completing the required learning activities and evidence of learning, you will have the opportunity to earn digital microcredentials that recognize and validate the knowledge and skills you have demonstrated.

Microcredentials provide shareable evidence of your accomplishments and can be added to your:

Resume • Portfolio • LinkedIn Profile • Academic & Career Applications

Your completed training, microcredentials, and applied leadership experiences all contribute to your progress through the Leadership Odyssey.

⭐ Mentorship Pathway: 50 Leadership Points

Complete the training. Demonstrate your learning. Earn your microcredentials. Put your leadership into action.

📲 3. Track Your Leadership Progress

Use your Leadership Odyssey Canvas shell to stay connected to your pathway and monitor your progress.

Canvas will be your home for:

✓ Training modules
✓ Activities and assignments
✓ Reflections
✓ Evidence of learning
✓ Leadership points
✓ Microcredentials
✓ Important dates and announcements

As you progress through the pathway, you’ll always know what you have accomplished and what comes next.

🤝 4. Learn How to Support & Mentor Others

A major focus of this pathway is learning how to build meaningful connections with others.

Through experiences such as Certified Peer Educator (CPE) Training, you’ll develop practical skills for listening, communicating, responding, supporting your peers, working with groups, and recognizing when someone may need additional resources.

You’ll learn an important lesson about leadership:

Being a leader isn't always about being in front. Sometimes leadership means helping someone else move forward.

🚀 5. Put Your Leadership Into Action

Your Culminating Project: The L.E.A.D. Summit

Everything you learn throughout the Mentorship Pathway will help prepare you for a major hands-on leadership experience in April:

L.E.A.D. SUMMIT

🌟 Your Mentorship Pathway Goal

By the end of the Mentorship Pathway, our goal is for you to be able to say:

I didn't just learn about leadership—I practiced it. I worked with others, strengthened my skills, supported my peers, and helped create something meaningful for other students.

That is what the Leadership Odyssey Mentorship Pathway is all about.
