Change Doesn't Happen the Same Way for Everyone

As a peer educator, you may find yourself helping students think about choices, behaviors, attitudes, or decisions. You may also be part of efforts designed to create change within a group or across your campus community.

But change is a process.

Understanding how change happens can help you think more intentionally about the way you communicate with and support your peers.

What You'll Learn

By the end of this module, you should be able to:

Describe ways to create change in different environments using the Social Ecological Model.
Apply each of the five Stages of Change.
Discuss the Diffusion of Innovations Model and how it applies to your role as a peer educator.

Before You Begin

Open your CPE Student Workbook to Module 2, beginning on page 29.

You will use your workbook throughout this module to take notes and complete activities.
