In 1996 MJ was said to be the greatest athlete of the last 50 years. This statement came from Sports Illustrated Magazine. 

ESPN even ranked MJ the top athlete of the 20th century in North America. This was based off of results and surveys from athletes, journalists and other sports figures.

The number Jordan wore on his jersey was 23. This number became so iconic due to MJ’s achievements that athletes in different sports would often times request that number just to be the same as Michael. 

Michael had the number 23 in high school, college and throughout his career when playing for the Chicago Bulls Cheap Jordans.

There was one occasion where MJ didn’t wear the number 23 jersey when playing for the Chicago bulls. This was in 1990 when a thief stole his jersey. As a result, they had to find an extra jersey which was the no. 12 jersey. It definitely didn’t affect his performance as he still scored 49 points.

Jordan pursued a career in basketball at the age of 31. He played as a rookie with the Birmingham Barons between 1994 - 1995. Jordan finished up with them after a year and went back to the Bulls to play between 1995 – 1998.

Michael Jordan is the only age 40 or older player in the NBA to average over 20PPG and to score 40 in a game.

Jordan was a star on and off the court. He starred in the film space jam which came out in 1996. The movie was a cross between animation and live action and had characters such as Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck for Cheap Jordans.

Michael Jordan makes roughly $60 million every year from Nike and the Air Jordan line.

MJ also has affiliations with restraunts including The Michael Jordan Steakhouse which is situated in New York City.  

He is the first former NBA player to own an NBA team.
